This article is about Grenada earning its first medal (in any event) in the Olympics. Kirani James won the men’s 400-meter race and Grenada sped past Slovenia on the per-capita medal list. The country has just 110,281 people. Slovenia is now in second place with one medal per 514,385 residents, the best per-capita medal rate among the 59 countries that had won at least one medal through Monday.
I believe this proves that even the small countries are capable of doing great things.
This could bring attention to Grenada and can make an impact on the way people view this small country. it can bring in tourists and put it on the map.
